Merry Meetings all,

I was wondering what everyone uses for a grimore, pens, pencils, do you keep a journal on your computers. As far i have been using three ring notebooks (and iv gone through many) everythings hand writtien in pin or pencil. Orginally everything was written in my special red pink ink but somtime last yeaR i lost that pin and now its just a mixture of blue, black inks and pencil --i even have some crayon descriptons in there from those late night sessions when pens are just to hard to find!

So its knda messy, and over the last four so years the pecil notes are starting to fade. I dont want my work lost!. What to do.. my friend keeps her wiritting on the computer in a notepad or somthing, but i kind feel like its alittle impersonal. I thought maybe to write it up on the computer so my pages are organized and then paste them into my newest grimore (im trying to combine my old books this yr) but what if i accidently drop it in water the ink will run.

Has anyone tried a binder with those dividers and plastic slips, will that protect it?.

Thing is i'll be 21 this oct. (yeah) and i want to rededicate myself (re affirmation?) to the lord and lady, i got most everything thought out. Well last beltaine i recived a new grimore from a raffle. It had made and very nice (too nice iv barly touched it) and i wanted to save it for somthing special, but i dont want it messed up, i want it neat and organized, catogorized, everything. But ack it has noo lines and im so bad with cursive handwritting, any handwritting really and i wanted so suggestions.

I know its a long and rather rambling post. Thanks for reading, advice needed.

I currently use a 3 ring binder myself. My husband gave me my first bos, and I have never put anything in it, same as you, it's just too pretty and I don't know exacltly how I wanted it. Well over the years, my binder has worked perfectly for me, I can take out pages or put some in, and that's the beauty of it. Unlike a bos that has a specific number of pages and once you use those up, that's it. Sooo... after much agonizing, I figured that one day I'll take that pretty bos and put in only spells and rituals, no notes no nada! That way I can have that pretty book to pass down to my children. Otherwise I have a ton of regular notebooks that I use for journaling or taking notes beside my binder. I don't think you could really ever use one book, there's just too much info out there, maybe even about the same thing book different perspectives, plus all the note taking! Ya so I think I'm done rambling now! If any of this even helped! :o

Oh ya, I'm not fond of keeping a bos on the computer either, seems too techy for me, especially since wicca is a nature religion, but it probably is easier and more convinient. I like your idea of typing it out on the computer and then pasting it into the book.

I was using a 3 ring binder as well but at the beginning of the year I found a 8gig thumb-drive for cheap and invested in it. So now I have moved all my work to it. But I do still have all my originals but as you said they are fading. If you go to Wal-mart or something similar they should have some cheap 1-5 gig ones and they hold quiet a bit of stuff.

I take plant fiber and throw in some flowers or something that smells good and I will soak it for about twenty four hours in water and then I will drain it and put in in the food processor for a long time and add a little water, enough to make a thin paste. Then I put it on a screen over a towel and roll it out real thin with a rolling pin...then just kinda shape it how you want and put the screen somewhere where air can circulate under it. Its not really hard and you can make all kinds of paper with practice. you can even use dryer lint!!! Its not as nice, but interesting!:witch_prv:
