Thats a mighty task your trying to take on!!
First and foremost, you wont be able to achieve anything unless you can master lucid dreaming... this is where I am at in this, I can successfully achieve a lucid dream maybe once every 3 months sadly, I dream extremely real and extremely vivid, but being able to harness this power and control your dreams is the very very first step in being able to dream walk
I wish I could help more with the rest of the process but its still uncharted territory for me, though I have been collecting gemstones & crystals which are good communicators and help to transfer thoughts etc, this coupled with being close to the person you wish to dreamwalk & having permission is what I would start off with once I have mastered my own lucid dreaming.
but really if your interested I Would start with that, its a hard skill to control much less master :)

I used to be able to lucid dream all the time, but not so much anymore. I think it requires being in just the right point between asleep and awake. Too awake and it's not a dream, and too asleep and you can't consciously control it.

i did that once when i was like 16 or 17 and it really scared me and i had some issues from it that changed some of the things in my life and the person i met i only ever met once and i didn't know who he was. my family thinks differently of me now because of it.
i have never had it happen again just that once and im not sure if i would do it again
it kind of scared me. and the thing is i wasn't even trying to do it it just happened
