She lived in darkness
Dieing to be free
Truth forever hidden
Yet, what was there to be
Sadness overwhelmed her
Constant crying inside
Replacing joy with blackened sorrow
Once her loved one’s pride
Truth be told there is reason
Always to feel this way
Hate, war, killing
Reasons that reason should stay
As long as the world is unjust
At an utter loss of sanity
In darkness she remains
A protest to the world’s inhumanity
She lived in darkness
Dieing to be free
A numb global blindness
Still not as blind as she
Running from confrontation
Chasing away her dreams
Hiding from the issues
She’s sentenced to muted screams
