I have had a strange "talent?" since I was very small....I can always tell when there are spirits, or maybe I should say "shadow people" around. I don't see them, but I can see their shadows when they are behind me. This played a big part when I was looking to buy my current house...I always "felt" to see what was there. Recently my brother-in-law brought "something" very lonely into my house when he stayed here a few days after he got out of jail. I could feel it follow me all over the house...even when I was in the shower! It didn't scare me, though, I just felt a great sadness emanating from it and when he left, I guess it went with him. I was wondering if anyone else here has felt the same kind of things or even have had different experiences with these "shadow people"? :jaw-dropping:

naw, I think it's more shadow people in my head than spirits!

I've been thinking about your post for a little bit, and I think that what I experience may be what you're talking about too. I do see some shadows, but I also see lights. And a lot of the time I feel it too. I just thought it could be neurological, and the "feelings" were I don't know... paranoia, because I kinda get creeped out and sometimes I get scared. What a chicken I is!

Thats an interesting talent you have. However, do you know what "shadow people" are or where they might come from? Personally, i have read and heard different things about these shadow people. I want to know more about your experiences. Like where do you encounter them the most? Are they spotted near bodies of water? Could they be a different type of spirit we know nothing about? On and on the list may go but here is a starting point. I am a criminology major so I need to ask questions and come up with theories cuz thats how I am starting to think.

Thats why "shadow people" was in quotation. I know not of other peoples experiences....only mine. They could be anywhere from at work, to at the zoo, or even sometimes fleetingly at home. My daughter also saw them at the same time I did, while at the zoo. I always see them as if someone was standing or walking behind me and they cast a shadow in front of me. They are all VERY different.....some scare me, some make me sad, and some of them I barely give notice to.

Perhaps this could also be a form of empathy? You Said that you can feel emotions around them; maybe it's your own way of detecting people's emotions; as a detached form hovering near them.
Just a thought, though.
EDIT: Oh, wow. Why do I always notice the last post date AFTER I post?
