Hermit Crabs!

Hermit Crabs are SO cool! They're so much harder to care for than most think...but they're still cool. I got two yesterday. Their names are Jacque Henri and Veronique Antoinette. I just thought that I'd share my hermie pictures! Me and my "friend" like pretending that they're our children. She won't even hold them! *rolls eyes* Some mother...:p

Aw they're so cute! Do they bite? I like the colors you chose for their "crabitat" very pretty!

No, they don't bite at all. Some people say that they will pinch, but mine hardly ever do...unless my cat's around. *shocked face*...but it's a good thing that they know how to get into their shells when in danger. Also, try to load those pictures as soon as possible. *laughs* I LOVE pets!

Since I first made this thread I have gotten two more hermit crabs! *laughs* They needed friends! Now I've got Belle Fleur...who happens to be one of the smallest hermies EVER. It's very difficult to find her when she hides. The other is...well, easier to find. His name is Andre [the giant *laughs*] and he makes my hands bleed when I hold him. Ouch.

*smiles* I'll be waiting...and don't apologize. *laughs* Though I'm more of a cat person/hermit crab person, I love dogs dearly. All pets are great friends to human beings, I believe. *nods*

Well, I got some sad new tonight...due to lack of watering on my mother's part [who I do NOT blame for the outcome]...Jacque, Ronni, and Belle have...parished. I didn't cry though...because they've been reincarnated into super new baby hermies! Sorry to bring upon you all such sad news...*sighs*. Andre's with me right now, though. Alive and as happy as ever!

I miss my hermit crabs :( I had two big ones a few years ago but had to get rid of them when I moved. I had just got them and had to give them back to the store because I was (didn't happen thankfully) going to be homeless. I still kept my cat and bird that I had at the time though. I have the cat now, and REALLY miss my bird. I live now with 10 other cats and 6 beehives, so, I'm making up for it in some way, but you know how those animals really grow on you. I had tamed my parakeet to perch...:(
