This woman has caught my interest over the past week. She was known as "Britains most famous witch".
According to wikipedia her father and her would talk about all things occult; she was homeschooled; her grandmother taught her a lot about astrology, the use of herbs, etc;she had more occult knowledge at age 10 then most will gain in a lifetime; her first book was published when she was 15(a book on poetry. Aleister Crowley encouraged her to write in the first place); Aleister Crowley was a family friend and she met him at age 9(he would read poetry to her); her ancestor was accused of witchcraft; and it would seem she comes from a long line in the occult world.
Played an interesting role in WW2 using a phony horoscope to fool a Nazi into getting captured in England...
One thing that intrigues me about her is she was not wiccan, which at the time was a young and growing religion. She also was not against the use of curses for the right reasons.
