View Full Version : Gnostic Christianity

This path caught my attention, because it seems so radically different from other versions of Christianity. It seems like an umbrella of several paths. Generally, they seem to believe that the Earth was created by the god of the old testament, whom they view as evil and cruel. And that the God of the new testament is the true God, who is supposed to be the opposite. They don't seem to accept the idea of the devil in a personified sense, but instead as just what may be considered the darker side of humanity.

Some of these groups seem to have a thick pagan accent to their beliefs, and do not view magic as evil at all, but rather a tool for achieving "Gnosis".

I don't know if my facts are straight, but I hope to get more lator.

In my opinion when religious structures get big enough it becomes a business and we all know those become corrupt. Personally I would like to see all religions brought down, labels removed, and get replaced with spirituality, empathy, and positive morals. But ya know... :alien009:
