View Full Version : Get deeper with age

I guess dreams get deeper with age. I remember always having a ton of dreams as a kid, yet I never thought much of them. These days I'm pretty sure that I dream everynight, but I rarely remember any of my dreams and when I do have one I still don't look into it to much. It doesn't seem like an important part of my life and leaves me quickly.

Day dreams on the other hand are completely different for me. They happen constantly and I enjoy having them. These day dreams aren't strong. I'm not in a trance or anythinng, just in a deep thought. I day dream all day long, at least a little part of me does. Some of these day dreams feel very important, others feel like I'm remembering my past lives. Can't tell if they are real or not, but the important thing about all of these dreams is that they all are safe to me and kind of make me feel like I did when I was a kid again.

As a kid I don't remember having many daydreams, only when I was playing with my toys and stuff, lol. When I did have these dreams they didn't feel as important as they do now that I'm an adult. Not sure where Im going with this, just doing a little rant.

I know what you mean, I don't remember any of my dreams as a kid, (except the one when I was five and dreamt of a toilet, and peed all over my bed!). I do daydream, but I look closely at my nightdreams too. I think that since it's the subconscious that does the dreaming for us, it sometimes opens up things that we don't/want to think about in our conscious mind. They are sometimes filled with symbols that can be applied to your conscious life, and possibly help answer questions or problems that you may be having or need to deal with. Just like how some nightmares are really based on some type of fear that you have. I think it's a good idea to keep a dream journal and track the dreams you do remeber, (you dream every night whether you remember or not, and usually its only for about 5-45 min), so that you can later interpret whether or not it is something that is re-occuring, or tied to your life in anyway.

Daydreams for me are more of me dreaming up my goals and what I want to accomplish in my life. I daydream myself as already living that life, and being there, and it helps me to have confidence in myself to actually believe that theres no reason why I shouldn't be able to fulfill my dreams and help the world! (I have lots of BIG dreams!) My daydreams help me to stay positive, so to me they are just as important as nightdreams. I too think that with age and experience our dreams do get more complex, whether they are day or night dreams.

Sorry for the long post, and if I was off topic from your post... I guess I was on a rant too! :D
