Back when I was a fresher in high school, our teacher gave us this book to read for homework. I liked it, and I was a little surprised that they'd actually pick a good book for us to read, a rarity in our school. What really stood out at the time, though, was that it seemed to have a pagan tone to it. I managed to get half way through it and the school deemed it too mature for students, then took 'em all up (the strong language and sexual themes, I guess, it is a romance novel). Dispite the teacher requiring us to get our parents permission before reading it, and giving us a different book if we couldn't get it. I finally found the book in a Barnes and Noble while in IL.
Was wonderin' what you guys thought about it, if you've read it.

(On a side note, I've noticed that many people who've seen the movie didn't even realise it was based on a book)
