im sorry sophia but hematite aka Iron Oxide, is a metal, not a stone, aside from that i love both hematite and amethyst, my runes are amethyst, i have an amethyst pyramid and a wear a magnetic hematite bracelet on my left wrist

Sorry to correct again, but it's Iron Ore, which is still in the mineral form. So yep, it's a rock/stone.

well, today i do not feel like a debate so i am just gonna post this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hematite to be honest with you, chemistry was one of my better classes in high school but anyways, when iron oxidizes it turns to rust with is still a rock, but hematite according to wickipedia is neither a rock nor metal but a mineral

my favorite stones are bloodstone, jade, and red jasper...gotta be the aries in me LOL
crystals are amethyst, emerald and garnet (okay gems)
I wear an amethyst and bloodstone pendants with my pentacle and goddess on my necklace, and occasionally will wear hematite on my right wrist...

I regularly use gems and stones in spells, such as a protection/peace spell that's ongoing...
rosemary plant, amethyst, rose quartz, and bloodstone for a fellow aries friend...his home remains peaceful and a place where the inner warlord of the aries can let his guard down and be at peace...there's one at each entrance to his home.
